Obsessive Compulsive Disorder
Having obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) can feel extremely overwhelming. It can range from more mild symptoms to really debilitating and consistent obsessive thoughts and resulting compulsions. A consistent concern my clients almost always identify about their OCD is the feeling of a total loss of control. It has been an incredible joy in my career to help clients who feel completely out of control with their OCD find ways to slowly, but surely, take back control of their lives. Through the use of Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and incorporating aspects of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), my clients have been able to gain control of their fear and stop getting pulled into the cycle of OCD.
I have experience working with preteens, teens and adults who suffer with OCD as well as phobias, such as emetophobia.
