Trauma & Tough Stuff

Making the decision to come to therapy is a big one. Making the decision to come to therapy after you experienced something traumatic, or have had thoughts of past trauma creep up, that can feel even bigger. Sometimes, the past just doesn’t seem to stay in the past. It can show up in a variety of ways; in our thoughts, in our emotions, in our relationships, in our bodies and even in the absence of feeling in our bodies, such as in dissociation. I have specialized training to help you get in touch with all of the variety of ways that trauma can impact us to help you find ways to integrate your past and present in a way that can allow you to move forward in whatever way you choose.

I have particular passion for supporting clients (including C-PTSD clients) in their healing of childhood traumas that continue to impact their adult life in the present. This also includes parents who are processing their own childhood trauma as they navigate parenthood and work to not repeat their own family of origin patterns.
